Privacy Policy

ONE4U ('ofu.co.kr', hereafter 'ONE4U') maintains the following privacy policy to protect the personal information and rights of its users, and to handle related concerns smoothly, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea. Any revision to this policy will be announced through the website notice board (or by individual notice).

1. Purpose of Processing

ONE4U processes personal information for the purposes below. Information is not used for purposes other than these, and prior consent will be obtained if the purpose changes. • Website membership and management: identity verification for member services, account maintenance, prevention of misuse, notices, complaint handling, and dispute records. • Civil complaint handling: identifying the petitioner, verifying the matter, contacting for fact-finding, and notifying the result. • Provision of goods or services: delivery, service provision, billing, content provision, personalised services, and identity verification. • Marketing and advertising: developing new services, providing tailored services, delivering event and promotional information, demographic-based service provision and advertising.

2. Retention and Use Period

ONE4U processes and retains personal information within the period required by law, or within the retention period agreed to by the data subject at the time of collection.

3. Provision to Third Parties

ONE4U provides personal information to third parties only with the data subject’s consent or as otherwise permitted by Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

4. Entrustment of Processing

Where necessary, ONE4U entrusts personal information processing to external providers. Such contracts comply with Article 25 of the Personal Information Protection Act and specify prohibitions on processing outside the entrusted purpose, technical and administrative safeguards, restrictions on re-entrustment, supervision of the trustee, and liability for damages. Changes to the entrusted scope or trustee will be disclosed through this policy without delay.

5. Rights of Data Subjects and How to Exercise Them

Users may exercise the following rights as data subjects. • You may at any time request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of your personal information. • Such requests may be made in writing, by e-mail, or by fax pursuant to Article 41(1) of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act; ONE4U will take action without delay. • Requests may be made through a legal representative or duly authorised agent — in which case the relevant power-of-attorney form must be submitted. • Rights of access and suspension may be limited under Articles 35(5) and 37(2) of the Personal Information Protection Act. • Deletion may not be requested where collection of the data is mandated by other statutes. • ONE4U verifies the identity of the requester (or their representative) before acting on requests.

6. Items of Personal Information Processed

ONE4U processes only the minimum personal information required to provide its services.

7. Disposal of Personal Information

Personal information is destroyed without delay once the processing purpose is achieved. • Procedure: information entered by users is moved to a separate database (or paper file) after the purpose is achieved and is retained for the period required by internal policy and applicable laws before being destroyed. Information held in this separate store is not used for any other purpose unless required by law. • Timing: within five days of the end of the retention period or, where the information becomes unnecessary, within five days of being recognised as unnecessary.

8. Automatic Collection Devices (Cookies)

ONE4U does not use ‘cookies’ that store and retrieve users’ information.

10. Safeguards

Pursuant to Article 29 of the Personal Information Protection Act, ONE4U applies the following technical, administrative, and physical safeguards. • Regular internal audits at least once per quarter to confirm the safety of personal-information handling. • Designating, minimising, and training staff who handle personal information. • Establishing and implementing an internal management plan for the safe processing of personal information. • Encrypting users’ passwords for storage and management, and applying file/transport encryption or file-locking to other sensitive data.

11. Changes to this Policy

This privacy policy applies from its effective date. Where the policy is added to, deleted from, or otherwise amended in line with laws or company policy, the changes will be announced through the notice board at least 7 days before they take effect.
