Terms of Service

Announced: 2018-02-11|Effective: 2018-02-21

These Terms set out the basic conditions and procedures for the use of all services (the "Services") provided by ONE4U (the "Company") through its website.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set out the basic conditions and procedures for use of all services (the "Services") provided by ONE4U (the "Company") through its website.

Article 2 (Effect and Amendment of the Terms)

These Terms take effect by posting on the site or by other means of notice (e.g., email) to members. The Company may amend these Terms without prior notice for reasonable cause; amended Terms take effect by the same means of notice. Members who do not agree to amended Terms may suspend their use and withdraw membership. Continued use after the effective date of any amendment will be deemed acceptance of the amendment.

Article 3 (Matters Not Set Out in the Terms)

Matters not addressed in these Terms follow the Framework Act on Telecommunications, the Telecommunications Business Act, e-commerce statutes, and other relevant laws. Specifics of individual Services follow the relevant service guides and notices.

Article 4 (Formation of Membership)

Membership is formed when a user reads these Terms, clicks "I agree", enters the required fields (ID, password, name, address, phone, email, occupation), and clicks "Join". The Company processes the application and may decline in cases such as false or missing information, registration as a credit-impaired user under applicable law, or other technical/operational issues. A membership contract is established per Member ID — one user, one ID.

Article 5 (Withdrawal and Loss of Membership)

Withdrawal must be requested online by the member following the Company’s procedure. The Company may, without prior notice, suspend or terminate membership in cases including but not limited to: false registration information, interference with service operation, ID/password theft, use of a non-real name, duplicate registration under a different ID, anti-public-interest use, defamation, mass solicitation, distribution of malware, IP-rights infringement, or other breach of these Terms.

Article 6 (Privacy)

The Company respects and protects member privacy. Personal information collected may include name, email, birthday, gender, postal code, occupation, job type, and interests; it is used to provide the Services. The Company will not disclose member personal information to third parties without consent and will not use it commercially, except where required by law (e.g., national authority requests, criminal investigations, delivery operations, telecom billing settlements, or de-identified statistical use). Please also refer to the Privacy Policy.

Article 7 (Company Obligations)

The Company endeavours to provide Services from the agreed start date. The Company maintains continuous, stable Services and promptly repairs facilities, except where force majeure or emergency applies. Reasonable member complaints are handled appropriately, and any delay is communicated with reasons and timing. The Company observes Article 6 (Privacy) and provides convenient procedures for contracting, amending, and terminating membership.

Article 8 (Member Obligations)

Members must promptly notify the Company of changes to their contract information (address, contacts, etc.), comply with laws and Company notices, and refrain from interfering with the Company’s operations. Members are responsible for the management and any misuse of their ID and password. Without prior consent from the Company, members may not use the Services for business purposes; the Company is not liable for any results of such activities. Members may not transfer or pledge their membership rights. Members must not engage in conduct including but not limited to: theft of other members’ credentials; unauthorised reproduction or commercial use of Service information; infringement of the Company’s or third parties’ rights; distribution of obscene or unlawful content; or other acts violating applicable laws.

Article 9 (Service Hours)

Services are provided 24 hours a day, year-round in principle. The Company may suspend Services for business or technical reasons, or for operational purposes — with prior notice via the site’s announcements where applicable.

Article 10 (Responsibility for Service Use)

Members are responsible for the content they post or transmit through the Services and must observe any usage restrictions announced by the Company.

Article 11 (Restriction and Suspension of Service)

The Company may suspend the Services for unavoidable reasons such as facility maintenance or telecom-carrier outages. The Company may restrict or suspend all or part of the Services in cases of national emergency, power outage, equipment failure, or excessive demand. The reasons and duration will be announced to members without delay. The Company is not liable for damages to members or third parties caused by such temporary suspension.

Article 12 (Termination of the Contract)

Members wishing to terminate the contract must apply online following the Company’s procedure at least one day before the target termination date (two days before, if the target falls on a public holiday). Service use is restricted from the day after receipt of the termination request. The Company may terminate the contract or suspend Service use without prior notice for material breaches including but not limited to: theft of credentials; intentional disruption of operations; non-real-name registration; duplicate registration; intentional distribution of inappropriate content; anti-public-interest use; defamation; mass spam; malware distribution; IP-rights infringement; orders from external bodies (e.g., the Information & Communication Ethics Committee); misuse of others’ personal information; unauthorised reproduction or commercial use of Service information; or other breaches of these Terms.

Article 13 (Intellectual Property)

All intellectual property rights in content published by the Company — articles, photos, illustrations, videos, etc. — belong to the Company. Such content may not be used without the Company’s consent.

Article 14 (Disclaimer)

The Company is exempt from liability where Services cannot be provided due to force majeure or comparable causes. The Company is not responsible for service obstructions caused by the member, lost expected revenue, or reliance on content obtained through the Services. The Company is also not responsible for the accuracy of information posted by members. Where members or third parties transact through the Services, the Company is exempt from liability.

Article 15 (Damages)

If a user breaches Article 8 (Member Obligations) and causes loss to the Company, the Company may claim full damages from the user.

Article 16 (Jurisdiction)

Any litigation arising from Service use, including fees, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court with jurisdiction over the Company’s headquarters.

Addendum

These Terms take effect from 21 February 2018.
